What is the timeline of current electoral campaign?
The presidential election is due to take place on October 11, 2015. The election date was set by the House of representatives on June 30. From July 1 to July 22, those willing to contend for president's post were submitting the documents for registering their initiative groups to the Central Electoral Committee. Nomination of contenders takes place from July 15 to August 13. Simultaneously, the registered initiative groups are collecting signatures for their nominees – this takes place from July 23 to August 21. The collected signatures should then be presented to local electoral committees (no later than August 21), where they are subject to authenticity checks for up to 10 days. From August 22 to September 5, initiative groups should apply to the Central Electoral Committee for registration of their nominees as presidential candidates. Registration of candidates takes place from September 6 to September 15. Agitation is allowed from the moment of candidate's registration to October 10. The law obliges mass media to stop publishing poll results related to the campaign, and any forecast of its result no later than October 6. Early voting takes place from October 6 to October 10. The official results of the election should be published no later than October 21.
