Eastern Europe Initiatives Congress, September 11-13, Lublin

Mayor of Lublin City cordially invites you to participate in the Eastern Europe Initiatives Congress (EEIC) to be held in Lublin on September 11 to 13, 2012.

While the EEIC brings to mind the Eastern Partnership Culture Congress held last year in Lublin, its assumptions will expand the preceding Congress’ formula. Within the EEIC framework, an agora-designed debating chamber will be set up, as well as panel discussions and workshops will be held focusing on the next areas:

  • good governance,

  • civil society,

  • culture without borders,

  • education/research.

The Congress debates will provide a perfect opportunity to hold a broad discussion with representatives of local authorities, non-governmental organizations, cultural and higher education institutions concerning joint search for and promotion of innovative solutions in the area of cross-border cooperation, tracing out the paths of this cooperation, and working out recommendations for the EU institutions.

At the same time we invite you to participate in the Competition for the best projects of cross-border cooperation 2012. The detailed information about the Competition, as well as the competition form designed for submitting competition projects, are available under

You can find more detailed information on the Congress and its Programme on the website:

We encourage you to participate in the Congress and to submit your projects for the Competition!

The aforementioned activities are part of the project “Lublin and Rzeszów – co-operation and using the development chances” co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund under the Operational Programme Development of Eastern Poland.
