Tsiareshchanka: I abandon these elections, this circus
After only 7 thousand signatures out of 130 in support of the candidacy of Viktar Tsiareshchanka were proved authentic by the Central Election Commission, the failed candidate claimed that the authorities wanted to “scare him as the only oppositional candidate”.
Currently, Tsiareshchanka is in hospital after an alleged poisioning by carrot juice in one of Minsk’s cafes.
Only four candidates to president continue to have chances to be registered as candidates – Aliaksandr Lukashenka, Siarhei Haidukevich, Nikolai Ulakhovich, and Tatsiana Karatkevich.
The Russian side is grateful to Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko for his decision to go to Russia as the visit after the presidential election, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Belarus Alexander Surikov said in an interview with the STV channel, BelTA has learned.
“We are grateful for this decision,” the Ambassador said.
