President Lukashenka gives interview to three Belarusian independent media in a format usually saved for foreign journalists
Today, president Lukashenka gives interview to three independent Belarusian media – Euroradio, TUT.BY, and Radio Svaboda – a Belarusian radio operated by Radio Liberty. It is worth mentioning that this is the format the president usually uses for communicating with foreign journalists; this is also the first time Lukashenka gives interview to Radio Svaboda in 20 years.
Valer Kalinouski from Radio Svaboda asked Lukashenka for an interview on January 29th, 2015 at Lukashenka’s press-conference in Minsk. Lukashenka agreed; later Zmicer Lukashuk from Euroradio made the same request, and Maryna Zolatava from TUT.BY was joined by the press office of Lukashenka.
The Russian side is grateful to Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko for his decision to go to Russia as the visit after the presidential election, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Belarus Alexander Surikov said in an interview with the STV channel, BelTA has learned.
“We are grateful for this decision,” the Ambassador said.
