It is impossible to check signatures for Tatsiana Karatkevich, claims the community group organized out of four opposition parties last week in order to look into signature gathering process of the only female presidential candidate. The official agreement to provide all the signatures turned out to providing roughly 2/3 of the initial quantity. As a result of the series of conflicts Tatsiana Karatkevich lost part of her supporters among opposition party leaders. Siarhei Kaliakin, the candidate that could not pass through the initial signature gathering process has accused her of bargaining with the authorities.
Despite raised hopes, a full turn toward Europe seems unlikely.
