The relationship between the economies of Belarus and Russia. A seminar

The rapidly deepening political crisis in Belarus is putting a whole range of issues on Belarus’ relations with Russia on the agenda. Because of this, Center for Socio-Economic Research CASE Belarus (www.case-belarus.eu) and the Russian expert group “European Dialogue” (www.eedialog.org) initiate a series of open seminars “Belarusian-Russian Expert Dialogue”.
The first online seminar "Relationship between the economies of Belarus and Russia" will take place on December 17th at 4 PM Minsk and Moscow time (2 PM CET).
The following speakers will deliver introductory messages:
- Aleś Alachnovič - representative for economic reforms of Svetlana Tsikhanovskaya, vice president of the Center for Social and Economic Research CASE Belarus
- Lev Lvovsky, PhD. - Senior Researcher at the Center for Economic Research BEROC (Belarus)
Moderator: Evgeny Gontmakher, PhD - Scientific Director of the European Dialogue Expert Group
Several Belarusian and Russian experts will speak in the discussion (Ryhor Astapenia, PhD, Research Director, Center for New Ideas (Minsk); Ruslan Grinberg, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Scientific Director of the Institute of Economics of the Russian Academy of Sciences; PhD. Andrey Zaostrovtsev, economist; Boris Kravchenko, president of the all-Russian union of trade unions "Confederation of Labor of Russia"; Nikolai Petrov, a senior researcher at Chatham House; Dmitry Potapenko, entrepreneur).
