The New European Neighbourhood Policy: Adjustment or Redefinition?

3rd Annual Dutch-Polish-Belarusian Trilateral Conference

To mark International Human Rights Day, the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Polish Institute of International Affairs together organise the conference “The New European Neighbourhood Policy: Adjustment or Redefinition?” on 9 December.

Polish, Belarusian and Dutch partners are involved in seminar, which will take place on Wednesday, 9 December from 14.00 – 18.00 (16.00 – 20.00 Minsk time) hours.

The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands organizes a trilateral conference on Belarus every year at a date close to International Human Rights Day. We do so in order to show to promote innovative approaches towards protection and promotion of human rights.

The half-day discussion-oriented conference will reflect on the challenge the new European Neighbourhood Policy has to face in the contexts of the refugee crisis and the shaping of new security policy. The panelists will examine the role of human rights and the shared responsibility of the EU and its neighbours. The conference will address the question of whether European Neighbourhood Policy should be adjusted or redefined with regard to rapidly changing circumstances.

The conference will be held at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Kawalerii 10, Warsaw.

The meeting will be held in English, Polish and Belarusian. The organisers will provide simultaneous translation.
